Blog: Why do I even?

The traffic on my website and social media might be low, but that’s okay. Writing and posting is cathartic for me. I don’t have anyone to talk to about Bitcoin and crypto. My wife knows I dabble in it, but she gets wide-eyed and bored whenever I try to get her interested. She’s happy that I’m happy doing what I’m passionate about and just wants me to do my best to increase our retirement funds. I’m blessed to have a supportive spouse.

My Online Ranting

Ranting online about Bitcoin comes at a cost. Social media is free, but this blog costs me about $89 per year for hosting and the domain. But it’s worth it. Writing and posting make me happy and motivate me to dive deeper into the Bitcoin rabbit hole. I’m not here for clout; I don’t care about that. If anyone reads my posts and gets orange-pilled, good for them! They’re making decisions and sacrifices that many aren’t willing to make, and they’ll reap the benefits in the future.

My Posting Style

I post pretty randomly. When I feel inspired, I sit down and start writing. I have some experience with Photoshop, so making graphics is easy for me. Plus, my previous knowledge of HTML and coding helps, although nowadays, you don’t need to code much—AI or the platforms do it for you. Times have definitely changed.

Limited Reach

My website has only two listings on Google, which shows how limited its reach is. Most of my social media followers are bots, but I’m cool with it. It just feels right to write what’s on my mind. This isn’t a full-time gig; it’s more of a side hustle. If my referral links for Gemini and Apex cover my hosting costs, that’s wonderful. I’m not looking for more than that.

The Joy of Writing

If you’re an introvert and don’t socialize much like me, you should try writing too. It’s a great outlet and a way to express your thoughts and passions. Writing has been a rewarding experience for me, and it might be for you too.
