Got Social Media? Sign Up for NOSTR Too

I’m on the usual social media platforms—just click the small icons at the top of this site to visit. But I also joined NOSTR, a decentralized network that, like Bitcoin, can’t be taken down.

NOSTR is now user-friendly; just install one of the many supporting apps, and you only need your public key to restore your account. With NOSTR, your posts are unstoppable—no one can delete or censor them unless you choose to reveal your identity. It has all the features of social media without the downsides.

Censorship on NOSTR is handled by users, the community, and relays/servers that follow community guidelines, unlike centralized censorship driven by power, money, and greed.

NOSTR isn’t well-known yet, but with recent news about Telegram’s Pavel Durov facing arrest due to user content, I believe more people will explore censorship-resistant platforms like NOSTR. Other centralized apps may also consider decentralization to distance themselves from restrictive governments and regulations.

These days, freedom of speech has a cost, and NOSTR offers a solution.

I use DAMUS and Mastodon for NOSTR, so feel free to follow me—here’s my public key: npub1yqmypzsnpyfw9vp3wgnwe3x76eruf0yey90z5q2hqqncwrfxdvpqjwpac0.
